The moment she walked in

The moment she walked in

She was recognised

My toes trembled

As I finished the sentence

The moment she sat at the table closed to mine

She was recognised

My lips closed

As I consumed the last peace of a cake

The moment she bursted into laugh

She was recognised

I sat quietly

Sipping the coffee, thinking

What if she walked in yesterday

Would I remember her

As she walked out into the night
